Welcome to a new edition of our weekly digest where we highlight some of the best out of the numerous content created by stem content creators on the Hive blockchain. It is the weekend and we hope that you are having a splendid one. Do not forget to stay safe during all these electioneering shenanigans going on int he country.

Who are we?

STEMng is the Nigerian sub-community of the stemsocial community, a community that has been supporting stem authors on the hive blockchain for about four years now. While stemsocial focuses on everyone irrespective of their country, STEMng is specifically for Nigerians. The best stem contents published by Nigerians on the Hive blockchain are highlighted weekly.

Below are the posts that made it into our digest for this week:

  1. cyprianj@cyprianj: The ruins of pesticides in nature and our environment; Are we doomed?

The week that just ended happens to be world's biodiversity week and there cannot be a better opening for this week's digest than a post highlighting the ruins being caused to the environment through the use of pesticides. A little bit of how it all started and where we currently are as humanity is exposited in the write-up. If you are looking to get educated on some environmentally related issues, here is a good one to start with.

2.mengene@mengene: H.I.V CURE: Is there a Medical Breakthrough at hand?

Our second post of the week is medically themed from one of the veterans in the community. We all know that HIV/AIDS remains one of the numerous diseases plaguing humans but which humans have not been able to find permanent cure for. In his post, mengene@mengene discussed one of the breakthroughs that seems like a cure for the disease but was cautiously optimistic due to the cost that the cure could incure.

3.hillaryisidore@hillaryisidore: Hepatitis: the hidden cause of liver failure

There is no doubt that liver-related diseases, especially liver failure, has become more frequent in our society, if what we see on social media is anything to be taken serious. Liver failure could be caused by a variety of issues, an infection with the Hepatitis virus represents one of the major ways. What is this virus and how does it spread? Read the post to learn more.

4.jsalvage@jsalvage: Penile enlargement; what the vendors won't tell you!!

Next in line is post that is borderline NSFW depending on how sensitive a user is. I assume that every mature person that is familiar with the use of the internet will know how pushy adverts targeting men that feel insecure with the size of the male sexual organ can be. At what point can a man say his organ is small? Many do not even know. The post will be an eye opener to such folks.

5.gentleshaid: World Biodiversity Day 2022: What we can do differently

Rounding off this week's post is a post published by myself written in honour of the world's biodiversity day. Many must have heard about biodiversity, just the understanding of how important it is to the existence of mankind is what is lacking. In the post, I did not only discussed the importance of biodiversity, but the problems facing world's biodiversity as well as what individuals can do differently to save mankind from future destruction.

Do not forget to give the featured posts/authors your maximum support. Thank you in advance.

If you are a content creator on Hive and wondering how you can participate in the community, all you need to do would to:
