Time is a phenomenon that waits for no one
It has been four weeks since we resumed activities on the hive blockchain and I am glad to welcome our readers to another episode of the weekly STEmng Digest where we bring you the latest happenings in terms of stem post publications by Nigerian authors on the hive chain.
This past week sees a little improvement in terms of the number of publications and unique authors. A total of ten posts were published by 7 unique authors as compared to to a total of eight posts from four unique authors that we had the previous week. That's an average of approximately 1.7 posts per author as compared to 2 posts per author in the previous week.

Top Pick for the week 3
There was a bit of difficulty in deciding the top post for this week Asian giant hornet, the monster visitor on America soil by @steepup and Stemng contest: Sexual dimorphism; how man face evolved to protect against fracture by @steep2308. Eventually, we were able to thaw the ice by settling for the latter.
The post elucidated how the beard evolved in men and the role violence played in the evolution of facial bones in men. Apart from the fact that this post was submitted as an entry into the STEMng contest by an old author that has gone inactive for a while, it was really an enjoyable read. Head over and give the author some love!
About the STEMng contest
We launched a contest about three weeks ago in order to lure some inactive authors back to the community. The deadline for submission was extended due to low participation. Officially, the deadline has passed with only two valid entries into the contest. You will all agree with us that there was really no contest.
However, as pointed out in the last week's episode of STEMng Digest, the two authors with valid entries into the contest will be compensated with 3 hives each. A new, all-STEMng author-inclusive contest will be announced later this week. If you are looking to make an extra hive through writing, perhaps your chance has come.
