I have learned never to worry about what people think about me. As long as I don't do things that are obviously bad. If anyone wants to genuinely have an insight into your personality, they will interact with you and perhaps ask questions about certain things.
If they just go ahead and make conclusions about you based on their perceptions, do not worry. Make efforts to change things that are obviously bad with you and leave the rest to sort themselves. One day, they will get to know the true you.
Welcome to a new edition of STEMng Digest.
Who are we?
STEMng is the Nigerian sub-community of the stemsocial community, a community that has been supporting stem authors on the hive blockchain for about four years now. While stemsocial focuses on everyone irrespective of their country, STEMng is specifically for Nigerians. The best stem contents published by Nigerians on the Hive blockchain are highlighted weekly.
Below are the posts that made it into our digest for this week:
PTSD is a word that people throw around quite often. However, it is obvious that many do not understand the exact meaning of this term. Our doctor in this post decided to educate us about post-traumatic stress disorder. If you wish to know more about this condition, what characterizes it, the risk factors, and treatment, give the article a read.
2.@alidickson: ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE - CELEBRATING WORLD ALZHEIMER'S DAY, SEPTEMBER 21ST.
Every 21st of September is set aside to celebrate the worlds alzheimers. On these days, awareness and education is spread among the populace about the disease. Thanks to this author for the reminder. The disease is something that has no known cause or cure. However, knowing the risk factors can help someone avoid them later in life. A must-read for everyone, I must say.
3.@jsalvage: Self-Driving cars/ Technologies behind this innovation
Virtually everyone must have heard or read about self-driving car. even though many of us are yet to see one in real life. For an inquisitive mind, the technology behind is something that must have been thought about. Here is a good article explaining the technology behind self driving vehicles. It makes for an educative and enjoyable read.
4.@silviafx: URTICARIA - SKIN ALLERGY PART TWO
Here is an article about a particular skin allergy from an author who happens to be a healthcare practitioner. After reading through this article, I got to know that urticaria is a skin allergy that is much common than I thought. Virtually everyone must have had it at some point in their life. Perhaps you will feel the same is you read the article. A good one for that makes for learning.
