Patch 0.31.1: Replay at Tempo

Speed a replay up and the fight speeds up with it, sound and all.

Small patch, one good change. When you speed a combat replay up or slow it down, the sound now moves with it. Push the fight faster and the swings, casts and impacts tighten and rise to match the pace on screen. Ease it back and they settle. At the default speed nothing changes, so your normal replays sound exactly as they did.

🔧 Improved

Replay sound effects track your playback speed

Combat replays let you speed the action up when you want to get through a fight quickly. Until now the sound stayed at its normal pace while the visuals raced ahead, so a fast replay felt oddly out of sync. Now the combat cues move with the speed control: push the replay faster and the swings, casts and impacts tighten and rise to match, slow it back down and they ease off. At the default speed the audio is exactly as it was, so nothing about your everyday replays changes.

A quiet fix for a detail that had been bugging us: a fast replay should feel fast, all the way down to the sound. More is on the way. Thanks for flying with us.
