Sometimes I feel so cold inside my heart,
That I fear that I'll become so cold & bitter - a nobody.
And when life gets so much it caves in on my world,
Would you hold me close, listening as I talk?
You've never seen my tears before,
But if you did you might hold me.
You'd talk to me like lovers do,
You might love me like it's our first night alone together.
When I look at you I see nothing but love,
When I hear you laugh it brings me to tears.
I've never tried or wanted to make you sad,
But sometimes I find it hard to tell you how I feel.
Like snow falling on cedars I quietly fall apart,
In the hopes that you'll understand the darkness of my soul.
The cold winter's air reminiscent of my congealing heart,
So it is that you walk away.
Just like you've done before.
And the snow continues to fall.
