Blackbirds reigned the indigo skies like windows through the darkness,
As I drove across the ice in search of the coolest touch to still my heart.
Like pools of colour your vision scans me,
Silently protesting, you're the voice endlessly screaming inside my head.
Congealed blood flowing with effort along the skin,
Slow hands - will we meet again?
Unveiled, she draws her sword,
Just another symphony,
She softly taps on the door of my broken heart.
Illustrious hands ignite the night,
Oh my lost sweetheart, quiet your fevered mind - Burn strong!
Unlock this cage,
Unleash this sweet music,
As he confidently moves away from me - could he move any slower??
The ink shall never run dry,
Just like slaughtered blackbirds against the snow - I feel you here, etched indefinitely beneath.
These open hands shall encase your sentiments & set you free,
Hell hath no fury,
The night that heaven fell.
Love.
Thy will be done,
And slowly our secrets walk the night.

Thank you so much for taking the time to view my work today. Embrace all your dreams!

If I do anything incorrect it's because I am very new to Steemit. I'm here to make some friends and look forward to seeing your feedback in the comments below!
