There is a special kind of confidence you get when you build a lineup in Splinterlands and look at it thinking, “Yeah, this is definitely winning.” 😂

You check the mana.

You check your cards.

You look at your tank.

You arrange your support cards.

Everything looks perfect.

You are already imagining the victory.

Then the battle starts.

And Splinterlands says:

“Are you sure about that?” 😂

Suddenly, your carefully planned strategy starts falling apart.

The tank you thought would survive forever is getting destroyed.

Your strongest attacker is struggling.

Your support card is doing something you didn’t expect.

And your opponent’s team is moving like they have studied your entire life. 😂

At this point, there is nothing left to do except watch.

You start blaming the cards.

Then you blame the positioning.

Then you blame the ruleset.

Eventually, you realize the problem was probably you. 😂

But that’s the funny part about this game.

You can take your time planning a battle and still get surprised by what happens.

Sometimes you make a lineup that looks absolutely ridiculous and somehow it works.

Then you try to repeat the exact same strategy in the next battle…

And it completely fails.

Now you’re sitting there wondering what changed. 😂

I also love those moments when you almost give up on a card.

You use it once.

It performs badly.

You immediately think:

“Never using this card again.”

Then a few battles later, you try it in a completely different lineup.

Suddenly, it becomes the star of the team.

Now you’re looking at the card like:

“Where have you been all this time?” 😂

That is one thing Splinterlands keeps teaching me.

Sometimes the problem isn’t the card.

Sometimes it’s how you’re using it.

And sometimes…

It is definitely the card. 😂

Another funny thing is how one small decision can change your entire mood.

You choose a card and it performs an important move?

Instant happiness.

Your card misses an attack that could have won the battle?

Pain.

Your opponent misses instead?

Suddenly you believe in miracles. 😂

And when a battle comes down to the final card, you start watching every attack like it’s a Champions League final.

One hit.

One dodge.

One ability.

One more turn.

Then…

Victory.

That feeling is actually so satisfying.

Even if the battle was completely chaotic.

Even if your original strategy didn’t work.

Even if you survived mostly because of luck.

A win is a win. 😂

But honestly, that’s what makes Splinterlands enjoyable for me.

There is always something unexpected.

Some battles are serious.

Some battles are frustrating.

Some battles teach you something.

And some battles are just hilarious.

You can enter thinking you’re about to demonstrate elite strategy and leave the battle wondering what just happened.

And tomorrow, you’ll probably do it all over again.

Check the cards.

Check the mana.

Build the lineup.

Feel confident.

Press battle.

And hope Splinterlands decides to cooperate. 😂
