Last week I got the new Steven Wilson album that I ordered some time ago. I don't normally go for the collector editions, but I splashed out this time. It's a hefty package of a photo book, two CDs, a DVD, a Bluray and a 7" single.
The amazing news is that this album, To The Bone, is currently number one in the UK! It's his highest placing to date. That may be partly due to some airplay on Radio 2.
I've not absorbed all the media in this collection yet, but the album itself is closer to pop than his previous efforts. I need to listen a lot more to get into it, although several songs have already been previewed. I've even covered one of them at the pub. Maybe I should do a video of that.
I'm getting quite a collection of his music. I know there's lots more releases, but I can't get them all. The signed album is from the second time I saw him live when he was at the Albert Hall.
I'm just happy to see him get the recognition he richly deserves.
Here he is talking through the new album.
Rock on!
I'm Steve, the geeky guitarist.
I'll buy guitar picks for Steem Dollars
