Surely a private company can choose what they allow on their platform. Isn't that an aspect of freedom? Some people do not understand what the concept of 'free speech' actually means. I think Trump is a toxic individual with some nasty people behind him who plan to erode the freedoms that Americans treasure.

Some of those who invaded the Capitol went with the intention to possibly kill or hold hostages. Is that how a democracy should work? The political system is imperfect, but it has checks and balances to try and avoid cheating. Of course Trump set up expectations of fraud well in advance, but then he cannot bear to lose. He has failed to produce any proof that would hold up in court and even his own judges rejected cases.

I think the opinions of those who staged the attack and a lot of what you see online are not representative of the population in general. I would hope that things can proceed without further bloodshed, but those with influence need to use it responsibly.
