Blind love is not so great. Accepting that your country is imperfect and wanting it to be better can be worthy. I think we Brits had slavery before your country existed, as did other empires, including the Romans and those before them. I doubt anyone thinks the US started it. We should all welcome improvements though. UK and US are both dealing with recent racist cultural issues and both have managed to have non-white leaders now. That's progress, but some can't deal with it.
