Hey, I have that kit, but I like the finish on yours. It is decent for the money, but of course there will be compromises. I'm also thinking of getting a better snare. I am going to a big drum show later this year so I may find one there. There are just not many drum shops where I could try that many.

Cymbals are a whole other world with lots of variety. I went for Zultan that are also hand made in Turkey. You can spend as much as you want on these things.

I hope you recover so you can play more. I'm getting a few gigs with the band and there is nothing quite like playing for an audience.
