Can it charge from the mains? This seems like it should be much simpler than other hybrids as there is only one drive system to the wheels and the engine just drives a generator. Does that mean that engine noise is not directly related to the throttle?

I still haven't driven our MG4 again :) Son charged it this morning on cheap rate and the solar panels still let us export more power than we imported. Having panels and an EV is the ideal combination as you are basically paying nothing to run the car unless you take a long trip.
