Who needs alien invaders when we seem intent on trashing the planet anyway. I'm not sure they would consider us ready to join whatever galactic club they have, but they do a good job of not transmitting any signals we can detect. We've been beaming stuff out for about 100 years, so the neighbourhood would know we are around.
