From what I've seen the Coldcard hack relied on a random number generator not being random enough so it weakened the generated keys. That can make it viable to break them. Security is hard and relies on good encryption. There will be lots of people trying to break it and 'AI' may help with that. There will be countries and others with vast processing resources who can exploit any weakness so you can't be complacent. Exchanges introduce other issues as you rely on their people and procedures. Those have failed before.
I used to read more about encryption stuff and these potential issue have always been known. I still follow Bruce Schneier who talks a lot of sense.
My only crypto is in Hive, so I hope that is secure. Not that it is worth so much lately.
