I see a lot of talk about NFTs, but mostly either as art or items in games. Books takes it somewhere else. It seems to turn an endlessly copyable thing such as a book into a unique item that someone can claim they own. I guess that means they can sell it on if they want. The crazy prices for some art or even a tweet seems ridiculous unless you can afford to spend millions on frivolous things.
Does a creator (artist or author) just want to sell a limited number of a thing for high prices or hope to sell many copies? Could it be like signed books? I am still figuring this all out.
