Some groups are really hot on checking for content that has been copied from elsewhere, so it is important to prove that it was yours. You can do that by saying on your blog that this is your Hive account. On Hivewatchers you can log this verification and it ought to reduce the chances of getting downvoted.

Update. I see you did this already. Keybase is a good one to use as it proves you control stuff. I had hoped someone could integrate Hive with their system.
