Those who just come for the money they desperately need could help to build economies on Hive that would add to the value. If they can start buying and selling for HIVE then they may have a more stable currency than the local fiat.

I know some feel protective of Hive as they want it to be, but it will evolve and we should let it. We can still have stuff we like.
