I've not been there, but will check it out when we are down that way. I think I've seen ads on TV for them so they must do well from donations. Animal charities are generally big in the UK. It's good to hear that it is so well run. It's just a shame that so many animals need this help. I think some people have donkeys as companions for horses, but in other countries they will be working animals and no so well treated.
