I know that isn't going to happen, but I just checked out the top five posts on the trending page. A couple have around 200 views. A couple more have less, but one that uses the 'P' word has 16659!
Update: To clarify, I'm not saying rewards should be based on views. Just interesting that a post is getting so many. If those were logged in users with some SP then the reward could be a lot bigger.
I'll assume those are not coming from Steemit users as there just aren't that many of us active here. The post must have been shared somewhere big or is just ranking very well.
I'll just say I'm sceptical about the 'P' word., but there's a hunger for controversy. I wonder how many of those viewers will join Steemit. It only has 233 votes, so I'll assume it's not many so far and even a thousand new user votes wouldn't swing the reward by much.
At least it's not just posts about Steemit up there. We need a mix of interests to attract people.
