The $HIVE price is still stuck around 5c, but currently rising. Someone needs to be buying a lot to shift that. How easy is it to buy where you are? We need to document the ways to get funds to and from fiat.
In the latest statistics from @arcange I can see that a lot of the bigger accounts are still powering up. We gained another whale and a few orcas in the last month. That power can earn from curation and also gives you influence over witnesses and proposals. These people have invested a lot of time and/or money to get to this position. It cannot be too easy or malicious people could try to subvert the chain. They would need to buy into it and that would drive the price up so it would get harder to do.
I saw a few people doing big power ups this month. If you can afford to then you could see benefits. I tend to save up my $HIVE each month to get a badge.
I have used the @ecency mobile app for years and I saw some changes in the recent update. One of those was that it seemed to be easier to adjust the voting percentage. Setting that accurately can be tricky on a small screen. I think that Ecency and Peakd are including other short form posts in their feeds. I think that is important as we want to see all available content from those we follow without having to switch apps.
@nicklewis is proposing that Hivers meet at an event in Aldershot this month. We have a history of hijacking existing events for our meetups. As well as getting a potentially free venue there will probably be other things to check out to make it worth the trip. Nick with be there with other electronic music enthusiasts. I would like to go, but will have to see if that is viable.
I have done these #FollowFriday posts for years as they are fun for me and people seem to enjoy them. The accounts I mention are likely to be aligned to my interests so I am bound to miss lots. Feel free to do your own similar posts. You may want to focus on other languages or specific locations or topics. It is totally up to you.
I will also be doing a fresh #BritList at the weekend. I focus on the Brits as I do not have time to update for other countries. I made my scripts available for others to use and a couple have previously. We need to share knowledge and facilities to help others build on Hive.
Have a great weekend and Hive five!
