It was looking a bit dark and damp out this morning. That light in the photo is a streetlight, not the sun. The camera makes it look lighter than it was. It was not raining when I headed out, but it did come down for a short while.
I did the usual loop up the hill to Fairfield. I saw one of my running buddies who clocks up some long runs at a quick pace. I saw a few other runners out there as usual, but it was fairly quiet generally. Someone on en e-bike zoomed past me up the hill.
There were a few puddles around and my feet got a little wet as I tried to jump one.
I was not trying too hard, but I am happy to average under 6min/km as that shows my basic fitness level. I am continuing with a few strength exercises each day at home to stay in shape.
I appreciate that I will be considered old now, but I can still aim to be healthy so I can do the things I want to. One of those is my drumming and I'm currently doing a course on sight-reading that is a challenge, but fun. I will book another lesson with my drum teacher soon, but I need to set some goals for what I want to work on. I will be playing with the jazz band again this year, but I would like to try other styles as well. I just have to find the right people.
