Description from Strava:
I have had a bit of a cold this week, but that will not stop me running. I was at the pub for a music session last night, so had a couple of beers. It was really good fun with nine of us playing.
It is generally dark when I wake up lately, but it was getting light as I headed out on my run. It was not too cold and just right for me. I did my regular loop around Fairfield as I do not have to think too much about it. The road up to that is still very muddy with a clearer strip down the middle. I do not know if anyone will clean it up.
It was fairly quiet up there, but I saw some of the regular dog walkers. I did have to wait a moment to cross some of the roads, but then lots of people are heading to work. I am fortunate that I can work from home sometimes.
I was not trying to break any personal records, but I managed to keep the pace up as I came back down the hill and it felt good. I have not managed so much running this week. Last month I was active every day in some way with a fair bit of running for the work challenge, but I should try to avoid slacking off for the rest of the winter. I need to make the most of nice days like this.
My podcast listening included more of the Reith Lectures and some science news. I am trying a different drum podcast to see what it offers.
