Description from Strava: sportstalk
I like to have a bit of a lie-in on a Sunday as it is the only day when I do not need to set an alarm. I was still awoken by the cat scratching my arm at 7am. I managed to sleep a little longer, but then decided I needed to run. I have things to do today before I go to a band practice after lunch.
As well as parkrun yesterday I did some digging, so was a little worn out. On these longer runs I tend to take it at an easy pace anyway. I started, as usual, by heading up to Fairfield. Along the way I decided to go up to the Grange in Letchworth where the other local parkrun operates. That does mean getting up one of the biggest local hills. I got up there, but walked the last bit and then enjoyed the view. It is another lovely day. It was cool when I first went out, but soon warmed up.
After that it is mostly downhill or flat. I took the long way around Stotfold and then out to Astwick before heading home across the fields where I saw some rabbits. Once back in Arlesey I took the direct route home as I had had enough.
I was listening to a funny little story on the Radiolab podcast. I like to mix it up with those.
I will try to fit in an extra run this week to increase my weekly distance. I feel I am improving, but you have to work on it.
