I finally have some precious metals to talk about. I believe these were my grandmothers forks.
I’ve been keeping them in a sandwich bag with a rubber band wrapped around them. They’ve been sitting in my kitchen junk drawer for… a while.
As the rubber band deteriorated and left a black mark. I wonder if the black mark will come off. It looks like someone hit it with a kitchen torch, but it’s from the river rubber band.
I don’t see a purity marking. Does that mean there’s a standard assumption? The realist in me says it’s probably not the hardest highest purity if it’s not marked. The only reason I think it’s silver is because of the oxidation.
