I enjoy playing this ballad. The original recording of the song almost has a funky bass in it. I could have elaborate like the guy in Chuck Mangione’s band (Charles Meeks) or Rocco, but I chose to read the notes as written. I didn’t write the chords in this time. It’s health… plus I can still elaborate without chords, sooooo…. uhhh… nobody made any specific requests and everyone seemed happy after each rendition/rehearsal sooo… I do me.
