Rehearsals are rolling along now, but things are coming to an end. This is the last rehearsal in our regular space.

Next time we meet as a band, we will be in the auditorium for a pre setup and sound check type of rehearsal. It's almost like a dress rehearsal. We don't know how we are dressing yet.

🚘 Signs of Transportation

Looking back at my May 9th image gallery, I can see signs of transportation. I must have gotten an oil change because I rode my #skateboard around town.

Looks like I had Ol' Bessy back by 11 with plenty of time to wait for 530 ish departure to a 630 rehearsal.

Oh look, more sign of stugg... transportation. I've stumbled upon two previous transportation scenes. It's busy in the city and that's all that matters.

COFFEE!!!

I made coffee before leaving. It's an essential part of today's gear. I know where to get great tasting coffee. Look for a local roaster. That's the trick. Want good #coffee? Go to a local coffee roaster (look for an actual dirty/operational roasting machine) and have them grind a bag of beans for you.

Yeah, it's old. It's still pumping. It's still bumping. I've been bringing it with me everywhere. I gets a lot of attention. I'll create a full post about it soon. Kinda fun to look at up-close.

🔨 Instruments

Drums set up and get randomly loud. I leave. I go outside to tune again. It doesn't need to be quiet. It just needs to be in an environment that's not unnecessarily dangerous for my life long hearing goals.

This is one of the most awesome guitar/bass/instrument tuners ever. It's probably kinda famous by now. I've had it since... I don't know. I don't remember purchasing it. I might have acquired it with a guitar trade back in the 90's.

This tuner will cut your instrument's signal while you tune. Nobody wants to hear a person tune their guitar while on stage or while it's stupid loud. The TU-2 has a bypass. That's what all guitar tuners need.

🎼 Music

Tonight we received the official set list. It’s long. Yes, rehearsal is long, but I am speaking of the set list. Lots of music for me to play. Extra music for me to play during the big band's concert break. I don't get a break. I play all of it. All night. Bass for everyone all night.
Lots of people soloing over lots of bass.
Lots of music with bass and sometimes good drums... sometimes.

That was a rant.

I put my music in order of the set list.

The rest of rehersal involved going over specific parts and creating other plans. By this time we should just be repeating the tunes. All the learning of parts and figuring things out should have been done.

Bush face. People like it. Idk and I like that it looks like idk. It's weird to see other bearded dudes looking intimidated or bewildered by muh face.
