Happy to hear your view here and take your points in stride. I did overlook the value of the tribes/communities, but certainly know that they're a big deal. The more I dive into other chains on Discord, I do see this type of camaraderie and it's prevalent to a degree on most quality chains. We're clearly a bit more visible and organized on Hive's blog platform to see it in a social media setting.
While blocktrades' team is working hard, they're also compensated well, and are massive stakeholders to have the incentive to push this forward. For Hive to exist and thrive in 10 years, we need hundreds of new devs to take this chain to the next level with apps and adoption beyond our core group of the faithful + those that come and go for the rewards.
As for the apps, we may have them from over the years, but they seem to be fewer and farther between to last over the years since I've been here since mid 2017. Many seem to be bare-boned, do the basics, or have died off. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places to conclude this. I post sporadically to Leo Finance, but am not involved in the finer applications and defi plays within it, which are probably more robust than I realize. However, beyond that, and many communities that live on Layer 1, but haven't developed on Layer 2 much, that's where I'm worried for the future utility of Hive outside of the blog/rewards pool system. I hope I'm incredibly wrong of course.
