I do agree with you but also think that your wrong on a few different points.
You should never be afraid to take profit. We could be back at 20c before you know it so why not enjoy what your hard work earned you? The top stake holders are not afraid to take profit or to maximize their investments so nobody else should either.
I do think that we will still be here and thriving in ten years. We have already done 5 while other projects fell away and have managed to rebuild and regroup with new users and new devs from the early days.
You might say that we do not have many apps but i would strongly disagree on this point. Hive is layer 1 which paves the way for every app and tribe that has been built today. We lost a lot of apps at the hardfork but looking at where we are now is amazing for a year of development.
I think that anything worth building takes time to develop and that is why splinterlands is only getting recognition 4 years into the project. Taking that timeline into account we have dozens of tribes building. At least ten more games that i know about. The whole leo side of the chain which has almost 10 other branches by itself and a hardcore group of users pushing all of it.
Not bad for a full rebuilt. All the while the blocktrades team is working away in silence, improving the tech for even more to join the system.
We have lots of issues, even more dickheads but the growth is undeniable behind the scenes. So many chains are all talk and hype but hive is just going ahead and doing it.
I'm happy to sell some hive on the way up and pay for my life as the whole point for me is to help the chain grow and enjoy the success as a stakeholder. As long as people aren't making actions that hurt our chain or its progress then i would never say a work against them for their choices. Money makes it dangerous as that affects those choices but i would hope that in the long run, people can see that adding to the community is far more valuable than trying to make a quick buck.
