If it helps, I think I've been on trending twice in over 2.5 years and the majority of my posts are near the bottom of the barrel of rewards for someone whose put in the legwork all this time... despite religiously helping the environment and others. It feels like I've been ghosted by most, invisible to plenty of followers I've scraped to earn.
Forget all the effort and sweat I put into trying to build a fitness community twice. People just wanted the free actifit tokens for walking.
Art is exponentially more appreciated than what I do, and I put a lot of hustle and muscle into what I do before I even blog about it. Ironically, music isn't (a prominent form of art). I used to love drumming, but seeing how little viewership and support it's gotten over the years has showed me that the current user base doesn't think so.
This will blow over, even the sidebar conversations that keep it bubbling. A few punches are better than thousands of paper cuts I've had to feel when my passion or my reputation has such little value for years. That's why I've been powering down since the takeover/fork. You've done a great job here for years and the downvote switch will be turned off in time. Keep doing what you're doing and win with resilience. Beats the bullies and commentary every time.
Moral of the story is that when this phases out, you are amazingly well-positioned because the community is with you.
