I fear you're taking this out of context or maybe unaware of the context.

You aren't standing up to a bully. Someone felt some posts were over rewarded so they downvoted them

I had pointed out what I thought was a problem. That post, all my other work, and this post have now been downvoted. That's bullying. There's no way one could say something is overewarded if it takes over 30 minutes to consume it all, but the downvotes were all seconds apart. You've pointed out a few problems you have with me here. Should I now get angry and downvote everything you do, instead of talking?

That's the tone of voice you decided to use within your mind as you were reading this. Not even mad. Simply pointing out a bully. Seen this happen before. I didn't know I'd be instantly downvoted but it certainly helped prove my point.

The instant downvote isn't necessary. I've said my piece. What's done is done. I won't be dragging this out.

I can carry on and try to have fun. I'd like to. If I feel I'm being pushed around, that's not going to make me feel happy and I'm 100% sure not being happy about it is 'normal'.

You don't like being bullied and harassed either. You do something that you feel is right and get shit on for it. I did what I thought was right and got shit on for it as well... but I also see all those folks that seem to agree.

Maybe, at some point, we can all gather our thoughts and perspectives and come to a conclusion more folks would be comfortable with.

If I feel arts and entertainment shouldn't be downvoted simply because someone doesn't like it, ask me why.

It has a lot to do with why it would be wrong downvote Hive content simply because someone doesn't like it.

That's a quote from my previous post. This post even highlights what happens if I talk about it, so, clearly, I'm not surprised I'm being fed the same old script. I even expected it.

A quote from this post, and it's the truth. Lumping everyone into a pile any time they air their grievances, not even listen, and stamping the whiner label on their ass instantly is not how problems get solved. I have nearly two decades worth of management experience, I've dealt with thousands of people problems over the years. Far more productive to resolve problems rather than kicking experienced folks to the curb and hiring new ones.

I'm used to being misunderstood. Even Nathen there thinks I'm a kid. It's common for folks to misjudge my character and part of that has to do with how my work is presented, which is my fault, but folks asking questions rather than jumping to conclusions would be beneficial to all involved.

No hard feelings of course, Justine. I hear you, I'm listening as well. Just because I'm pointing out some negative shit, that doesn't mean I've forgotten about the positive shit. That should be common sense though and I can't add a disclaimer to everything I write, but the post even states majority of the people are good, including large stakeholders, everyone; even when there are problems, so I'm hoping to see more of that and less bullying. That shouldn't be a big deal.
