To get myself pumped up to go outside on a Friday night when everyone's walking home drunk, I'm putting this post up. My hope is to attract more finds tonight by getting this energy out in the universe.
After a long day making some crypto decisions, moving some funds around within DeFi, and debating taking a sliver of profit off the table, I'm ready for a good walk outside.
But, first, a few recent sales of items I saved just before they were crushed on a recycling truck!
This BMW cargo net was found in near new condition. I sold it online for $210. I find similar components for luxury cars and usually have no issue selling them. I have 2 left for other vehicles to list and get out the door. They usually sell in the $150-$350 range, depending on the model. The shipping weight with recycled packaging was 12 pounds.
This physics textbook was an easy sale for $55 online. I believe that the demand for older science and math textbooks stems from homeschooling, unless people really want to buy their old textbooks back for the memories. The shipping weight with recycled packaging was 3 pounds and 6 ounces.
This vacuum power nozzle was tested and in great shape for an easy online sale of $95. These are extremely easy to flip because they barely last a day when I put them up. The shipping weight with recycled packaging was 7 pounds and 10 ounces.
The hose from the same vacuum I found was a layup sale for $65 online. The main canister had a minor issue, so I used it to test both parts, and then took other parts from it. If I sold the entire vacuum online, it'd have eventually gone for $200, so I got a strong % of that from just two parts, almost instantly. Other parts will close the gap and be easier on overall shipping charges.

This action video camera was a fun find I sold for $72.50 online. I was able to test the camera since its battery had great life. There were some videos and pictures from a teenager still on it, so I knew it worked. Further testing confirmed, but I had to sell it for a discount because I accidentally scratched the display screen pretty good. The shipping weight with recycled packaging was 1 pound.

Sorry for the shorter entry, but it's time to spend my time on the environment now instead of writing about it.
Per usual, the hard work is not in this post. It's in the time and effort to find these items, among countless others, saving them from being destroyed, and then finding them new homes. I love this process and hope that my examples motivate others to reconsider if they're doing enough to help our environment.
