Another season has come to an end at Splinterlands.com. Thousands of players are eagerly opening their reward chests hoping to get some of the top loot. A booster pack, a gold-foil card, thousands of Dark Energy Crystals(DEC), or even a plot of land. Me? I didn't get anything remotely decent. Which is typical. Let's hope for better rewards next time.
When Earth meets Earth, the ground is sure to tremble!
After being disappointed with my season rewards, I was hoping for something positive with my first battle. A battle of Earth summoner versus Earth summoner. My hope was greatly diminished with an initial glance at my opponents monsters. Well, one monster in particular. Wood Nymph.
I'm so cute and innocent.
Wood Nymph is a cute and innocent looking card. But, whenever I come up against her, the outcome is not often in my favor. There are a handful of monsters with the ability Tank Heal. This means they heal the monster in the first position.
To my knowledge, none of those monsters have an attack at level one. None except for Wood Nymph. An attack makes a tank healer a very powerful card. Especially when they receive buffs from summoners and other monsters. Healers don't have a lot of base health or armor. So, it's important to protect them.
Back to my battle...
Not only does my opponent use Wood Nymph, but their monsters are all level three with a level two Furious Chicken. My level one monsters stand little chance against such odds. Such is typical at the very beginning of a new season. The more powerful players will soon advance to higher levels.
