Wake up. It’s just a bad dream. Not a bad life. Or is it?
They promised us that life would be easier. That happiness would come our way. That the pursuit of success was key to get there. Just do as we tell you, and you’ll reap the benefits. But here we are now.
More confused than ever. Our eyes glued to our devices trying to make sense of it all.
Miserable. Bored to death. Un -fucking- satisfied. Is this really “it”? Is this as good as it gets? The truth is that this will be “as good as it gets” as long as you keep on buying into the false promises they have convinced you to believe.
What happens when the vision of your dream life finally becomes a reality? When it’s no longer thoughts scribbled on random paper, but the 15 000 square feet house you are currently sitting in. The family and the kids you’ve been wanting to have for so long. The recognition you get from all your employees at work. The hot looks you get as you pull into the parking lot of a restaurant with your brand new lambo. Yet, still, at night, you lay in bed as your wife is asleep and wonder to yourself “is this as good as it gets?”
The fact is that you could have as much success as you’ve ever dreamed of having, the dream girl, the dream house, the “dream life”, yet you could still secretly ask yourself if there was more to be had.
There’s always going to be more. There ain’t a finish line for desiring more. But believe me when I tell you that you’re better off calling it quits on that race. You’re miserable because you think fairy tales are real.
Look. Cheer up butter cup. We’ve all been fooled ok. Who didn’t think “happily ever after” was real? Most people still believe it is as they endlessly scroll through their perfectly curated feed. If you choose to close your eyes to reality, it’s on you buddy. But it comes with a price.
All I’m trying to say is that you are wasting your time. And just so you know, time is a limited currency. There’s no warranty on the bs lies they’re trying to sell you. The “American Dream” doesn’t have a refund policy.
Surprise Surprise. You didn’t think the joker would invite himself to the party, did you? Haven’t they told you to never trust strangers? The pleasure of tasting a candy wears off before you come to realize that you’ve been trapped in the inescapable prison of society.
Just so you know, you won’t find the keys in the same place where you lost your “freedom”.
Let’s stop the Pavlovian bell game. We need to stop reinforcing our toxic mindsets. We need to realize that we aren’t free. We are unconsciously ruining our lives, always on the lookout for what more is out there. Nothing more is out “there”.
Everything is here.
Here inside of you.
Here, in the here and now.
That’s The Real Dream.
