I agree with you. But I think it’s superficial to put the blame solely on poor decision making. There’s a lot that gets played under the “visible surface.” We do a shit ton of things without even knowing why.

This reminds me of one of my favorite quotes from Carl Jung: “until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

The ones who need to “learn” are the perpetrators of abuse.
