I have been living by that rationale for as long as I can remember.
I've applied it to as many spheres of my life as I could.
If you want to become a better soccer player/runner/athlete, train with athletes who are better than you.
If you want to become a better human being, surround yourself with individuals who are kind.
But you nailed it. We have so much more to learn and gain from being around people who have life experience and have acquired wisdom from what they have been through.
