What Happened?
This afternoon I was taking a nap after lunch. I had a dream straight out of a horror movie. I saw myself roaming around in a haunted palace alone. Suddenly in my dream I felt someone was standing behind me and before I could turn back someone (probably the ghost in my dream) stroked my hair and it felt extremely realistic. I got scared and woke up, but realized that I cannot move. However hard I try, I couldn’t move my hand or leg. The paralysis seemed to originate from my back (spine) and move outwards towards the rest of my body. I felt someone was there in the room. Scared, I didn’t even try to open my eyes. The entire ordeal lasted about 30 seconds and even forced me to chant Hanuman Chalisa. During those 30 seconds, I felt like I was dead and wondered whether this is what death feels like. Felt relieved that I can finally move and a quick google search took me to the world of sleep paralysis.
