Bahrain youths should be protected from the dangers of using the social network. Founder of Facebook, as well as co-founder of Napster, Sean Parker, has recently surprised the world with harsh words about social networking. He was warned of the harmful effects of Facebook on the community and warned of the potential dangers to children's healthy development. When confronted with this idea for the first time, he acknowledged that they wanted to make him as dependent as possible, and stated that the "likes" sign came as a result of this desire.

Parker describes the likes of "likes" and generally the social networking functions as "... to exploit the vulnerability of human psychology." This is painful truth. Many people begin to race consciously with the people they think are at their level in the brain, and after a while it becomes the goal of their peers' satisfaction or feeling of jealousy. This is a dangerous form of thinking and is of no use to anyone. When you think that's not got it, people's psychology is broken. When the social network begins to use this vulnerability, the results can be frustrating. But in a beneficial way, we can easily change this trend.

Many polls confirm that this threat exists and shows that there is a great deal of damage from the social network. According to one poll, 62% of 1,500 social network users are feeling insecure, and 60% say they are jealous when comparing themselves with others. Professor Margaret Duffy, of the University of Missouri, says about this malicious fact: "If a social network is used to compare one's achievements with others, it can have a negative impact."

The desire to always be in search and compare will affect emotional young people. When these feelings are not controlled, the formation of a healthy, strong character is prevented. When there was no social network in the past, the need to enjoy was limited to a few friends. As a result, expectations and disappointments were low. But today, the number of virtual characters creates unrealistic expectations and the resulting frustration results in negative consequences. That is, social networking can be useful in many ways, but it can also have such harmful effects.

As Parker points out, such an approach has a negative impact on the development of vulnerable youth. Young people grow up with "love" and social status. How will they deal with the real world? How will it be if a sense of pleasure in a virtual world is not in the real world? It is crucial to discuss these issues before the next generations with these unnecessary burdens in their souls.

Using the power of social media, it is possible to change this form of thinking with constructive and useful ideas. Broadcasting of positive messages through this network can balance the negative effects. The social network can be a very effective tool to cope with biased ideas, to resist hatred, to spread messages of love, understanding, and peace. The desire to be discussed above may be neutralized by the following means:

Keep in mind that someone else does not have a real impact on you.

Keep in mind that enjoying someone else's life does not affect the life of a person, and that others' liking your life will not have any impact on your life.

Whether you are familiar with either anonymous internet users, do not set your confidence to others' opinions.

Remember, the important thing is your character, not what others think about you.

We hope that this way of thinking will help young people to overcome their illness and become more environmentally sensitive, stronger and more independent individuals.
