As the winter season knocks in, the sale of room heater shoots up in the market. People prefer to keep a air blower or room heater in their home to maintain the temperature. I think that is not only the scenario in India. Similar things happen around the world, and people can do anything to protect themselves from declining temperature. However the lifestyle of village is completelly different.
While the onset of winter means harvesting season which indicate mostly village people spend their time in fields. But as the day closes in they also starts to look out for something that keep them warm and they best option that they have are thr Woodstock or combustible substances like dried leafs or other straws that can easily be burned. Although people hesitate to go out in evening, because the weather of village is completelly differrnt from that of city. City have more of warm atmosphere owning to running vehicle and other industrial set up. But in village the temperature is more of deadly sign as the presence of trees and greenery around make thr place more cooler. So keeping them protective is very important. O ce you go out on street you may find group of people sitting close by a burning amber. Last night I went out for a walk to find some people sitting on the streets near a burning leafs. As the autumn season means falling leafs everywhere, they can easily be flamed. They catches fire and people can sit around to keep them warm with little chit chat of their life.
This seems to be a normal lifestyle around my village. The burning straws or leafes or Woodstock really make people to keep themselves warm. If ingo by the local saying, it is hard to survive the winter without these flames. So this becomes an integral part of their life. These people do not afford room heater or other facilities. For them a flames could make them feel warm and then the amber were kept inside the room as a natural way of keeping the room temperature warmer than outside. So these flames does have dual use, Firstly you can keep your body warm and secondsly the same flames can be kept inside the room to keep the temperature bit warmer. Cometelly different lifestyle as that of city.
