Last full moon in India was very special. Not because it was a full moon day, but also an auspicious day for Indian. However the reason for its speciality being, Lunar eclipse on that day.
A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon moves into the Earth's shadow. This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are exactly or very closely aligned with Earth between the other two, which can only happen at a full moon
Unaware of the natural.phenomenon, I was capturing the full moon, with my mobile phone. I tried to get close as much as possible. In India full moon day , is called as "Purnima" and considered to be very auspicious. Many people perform many rituals for their well being and success. It was majestic night, and entire sky was glowing with moonlight.
But shade of eclipse is not visible to me. O tried from different angle, but seems the eclipse was not visible in India. It was visible in some parts of Northern America. This full moon is also called as Blood Moon 2021.
The event of full moon being trailed as the “Super Flower Blood Moon 2021" because of different reason. Firstly, it is supermoon, which is considered to be 7% bigger than average full moon day. Secondly, it was referred as "Blood moon" because it will appear to be completelly redish.
Being in India, I missed on watching the great lunar eclipse. The best locations to see the “Super Flower Blood Moon” was the Hawaii. Australia and New Zealand,.
It was great experience of capturing some of the best snaps of moon and spending some quite time, alone at night under the moon light. A memorable one and hope will see the "super flower Blood moon" Some day.
