Steem Basic Income

Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.

Enhanced Votes Graph

We last published this graph that 'maps' the interrelationships in our member pool seven days ago. Here is our graph and analysis from last time we published it:

And here is the graph from this week. We are still targeting only 10% of our total VP to be spent on self-voting, but delivered through our regular voting bot (with voting accounts chosen dynamically for each post). That's why three more of our own program accounts are now showing in our graph.

It only shows people that regularly upvote each other or @steembasicincome, or have high subscription levels for regular upvotes that are too big for our smaller voting accounts to deliver. That makes sense, because we have over 4900 active members that are voted by ten different accounts. All of those interrelationships would be too much for this chart.

Member spotlight: @darklands

@darklands is a steem-based roleplaying game that is run by @norwegianbikeman. There are about a dozen active players. You can play in just a few minutes per week, or spend a lot more time on it if you get really into the roleplaying and regularly participate in quests. It also has in-game systems where you can earn 'gold' and cash it in for upvotes or for SBI units.

With a growing player base regularly requesting SBI units for their gold, @darklands has finally appeared on our Enhanced Votes Graph. Many of the players are also SBI supporters, and the game definitely deserves a positive mention. If you like role-playing games, check it out!

Sustainability Coverage and VP Management

Sustainability Coverage is currently at 73.50% and rshares reward rate is 580,630,750 per SBI unit per day. Unless there is another big drop in SBD this week, we are done with conversions for a while and their influence will gradually fade from our sustainability coverage again.

Delegation prices have gone up, and that results in lower sustainability coverage ratio as we pay more for our leases. Once our VP gets high enough, we can start to be a little more conservative with our lease orders and see if we can get slightly better prices on some of them.

The rshares reward rate for bonus units (delegation reward) is not decreased. It actually is higher, to return curation rewards to our delegators. You can help increase the sustainability coverage (and thus the rshares reward rate on regular units) by delegating to @steembasicincome.

Enrollment

If you want to get involved, or to increase the level of basic income that you receive, enrollment is pretty straightforward:

Just send 1 STEEM to @steembasicincome. Include the name of a Steemian to sponsor in the transaction memo (preceded by @). You and the person you sponsor will each receive 1 unit in the program. You can sponsor any active Steemian (except for yourself), it does not have to be a current member.

The official currency for enrollment is STEEM. If we choose to accept SBD without refunding it, you do not receive extra value for it.
