What is Eos?
EOS blockchain is a decentralized platform that's powered by the cryptocurrency EOS and supports decentralized applications. The EOS protocol acts like Google's Play Store and Apple's App store by emulating attributes of a real computer, such as hardware for processing, local/RAM memory and hard-disk storage with the computing resources distributed equally among EOS cryptocurrency holders.

EOS supports Smart Contracts and works as a decentralized operating system intended for the deployment of industrial-scale decentralized applications through a decentralized autonomous corporation model.

The EOS Smart Contract platform eliminates transaction fees and allows for millions of transactions per second, as well as featuring a blockchain architecture designed to enable vertical and horizontal scaling of decentralized applications. The EOS software provides accounts, authentication, databases, asynchronous communication and the scheduling of applications across multiple CPU cores and/or clusters.
