The XRP Ledger closed a hole that could have minted XRP out of thin air, and RippleX found no sign anyone used it. Catching that before an attacker did is the best outcome a chain can get. The Ledger thief went the other way, swapping stolen USDT into a token Tether can't freeze. I think stablecoin freezes slow down patient attackers, frens.. they rarely stop them.
XRP Ledger Fixes Payment System Flaw
TL;DR: A flaw in the XRP Ledger's payment system, believed to date to 2015, could have let an attacker create new XRP without paying for it, according to a security report. The bug has now been patched. RippleX said it found no evidence the flaw was ever exploited.
Ledger Theft Wallet Swaps Into USDD
