There is a tremendous amount of fiscal corruption in American public schools as well. I've met a few public school teachers who lament that there isn't enough money in the budget for them to be able to provide basic supplies unless they provide them at their own personal expense, or if they ask students to provide them. I've never heard of a school budget increase proposal that the government doesn't approve, but where is the money going? I'd wager that it's getting pocketed by the school officials who manage the budget, but hey, that's just me indulging in yet another unfounded conspiracy theory! It's not as if I've ever read Den of Thieves or anything like that...
