Hi, Hivians!
Today is the happy 15th week of my initiative.
Last week we talked about luck. Surprisingly, very few people at Hive believe or count on luck. 馃お Maybe we're all too serious here? 馃槄 Or maybe Hive is already a huge fluke in our lives! Either way, I have a lot to think about on this one. And I'll definitely come back to it again, but not today.
In my worldview, luck goes hand in hand with superstition for some reason. Perhaps because the most popular superstitions and omens of my land have to do with luck in one way or another. If a black cat crosses your path or salt scatters, something bad is bound to happen. (bad luck)
We have a lot of bad omens like that. And I know there are some in your country or in your land. I'm sure there are many interesting and unusual ones. I suggest you share the weirdest, most interesting or unusual ones in the comments!
What omens or superstitions do you recall and use yourself? Perhaps you have an interesting story on the subject?
As I said before, I'm not superstitious, but I do use some omens from time to time. Let's say I show my tongue to the mirror when I return home if I forgot something on the way out. That way, supposedly a bad luck that is supposed to happen won't happen.
I have also seen many times people catch up with a black cat when it has crossed their path. To cross that road backwards and nothing bad happens. 馃槣馃槄 I wonder if anyone has done this kind of research and calculated the workability of these theories? 馃お
I will, as always, end my thoughts at the end of this post. Now to business!
Today is the 15th round of my giveaway gratitude, and I'm glad so many people supported the idea and participated in my act of gratitude and gratuitous giving. I will be giving away 5 HSBI + 1 this week and beyond. Another 1 HSBI I will be giving away as a token of my appreciation for various things. It can be a sincere comment or just a contribution to Hive life. Perhaps it will be advice to me or to the community. Or it might even be the bitter truth spoken to my (and only me!) face! In fact, I don't really know what or who will inspire me yet, myself. But from this day forward, I will be giving my thanks to one more participant on my own behalf! I think it will be interesting! So let's get started!
Goal
As I wrote in the first post Giveaway of Gratitude. 5 HSBI. CLOSED!, I give every day and want to take it to Hive! The purpose of this next giveaway is to give back to Hive and its members my share of appreciation and love! This is a gratuitous giveaway. That is, if the payout for this post is 5.01 Hive, I will give away 6 HSBI! The only thing I get is your love and part of the Hive SBI (that's how HSBI works).
What is HSBI
HSBI is a social experiment that has grown into something bigger. I have read many posts and other information about it. In my opinion, it is worthy of both Hive and this world in general! If you don't already know what HSBI (Hive SBI) is, read this post: Hive SBI
Why am I leaning specifically toward HSBI? Because this value that I give away also stays at Hive. It also shows my love for this blockchain and everyone involved!
Rules
- Leave a comment below the post.
- Wait 7 days from the time the post is published.
- Bots and multi-accounts are not participating and will be tracked manually by me. That's what the 7 days are for.
- The five winners will each receive 1 HSBI.
- One participant I choose will receive 1 HSBI personally from me! I will publish the reasons in my next post.
It's simple, isn't it? If it is, then go for it! I'd love to see your love for the entire Hive community!
I will acknowledge all the past giveaway participants. If you're not interested in further mention, just let me know in the comments under the post and forgive me if it bothered you!
Past giveaway winners:
@ ceekz, @ tydynrain, @ almajandra, @ amakauz, @ serhotest
+1 @ fantagira
Congratulations, guys!
The sixth winner I chose was a lady who brought up an interesting topic, in addition to good luck. I will use this for sure in one of my future posts. These are our automatic phrases or words that we may not believe. Or don't attach importance to. And thus do not thereby carry any message or utility in essence.
Dear Monika(@ fantagira), Thanks for your thoughts and your constant communication within these blocks! Congratulations! 馃檶馃挋馃挍馃檶
All the appreciation awards were sent out about 1 hour ago and should have flown to you by now with my love! Check your wallets. I already got my share of HSBI for this week as well. 馃槣馃挭 Here are my current HSBI figures 猬囷笍
Conclusion
The presence of superstition indicates a lack of intelligence.
That's what a friend of mine once said, quoting someone from the Internet. We laughed for a long time because it was a joke. But as you know, every joke has its share of jokes...
As of late, I believe that anything works and benefits us. If we really believe in it.
Faith.
That's exactly what carries a tremendous amount of usefulness!
Remember this! Peace!
That's all for now! Hive ON! We Are Alive!
