RE: Gigs: August 11 2023
Looks a great place for a beer and music. I love the old building! If walls could talk and all that. Predates the Great Fire of London by nearly 90 years and Oliver Cromwell wouldn't arrive for another

I find the study of the head really interesting. I've just been looking at your other post where you have a selection of them.

RE: Busy bees in the garden
I'm trying to do more to entice them. I have a little wildflower area in one corner. I think I need to extend it a little.

RE: A not so spectacular start to the day (and yesterday's tasty supper)
450g(ish) of potatoes cooked and mashed with a little butter (if you like). For the filling, fry 150g of mushrooms fried until golden, add 15g of Worcestershire sauce until it evaporates. Add two cloves

Yeah, a bit of a rookie mistake that. Annoyingly I started tidying the study yesterday and consciously popped it in my desk drawer to keep it safe.

RE: Walking Québec to see the sights
Pleased to see the weather has been better to you today and I love the idea of being able to soak your feet after a long walk, whilst enjoying refreshments.

RE: Holiday day 2 - a long walk and more food!
Thankfully it was pretty calm yesterday. A good change after a few days of 40mph winds.

RE: First day of my holiday - Norwich
I think so. There's plenty to see with the castle and cathedral. There're plenty of independent shops down lots of old cobbled streets. I've not yet discovered the oldest parts, but I understand they're

RE: A Sunday summery (lovely food, reading and setting challenges for August)
The girls seem to be enjoying themselves. We're off for a trip to Norwich tomorrow - the plan is to use public transport. They both get involved. The eldest seems happy to make herself things these days

It'll work brilliantly with Quorn mince I think. To be honest lots of chopped mushrooms, celery and carrot would do if softened properly. You're right it doesn't sound like it should be as good as it is!

She isn't happy bless her. Unfortunately the only way she'll get back to anywhere near normal is with the surgery so we'll aim to get that sorted over winter. We have a shoe container up the road so I'll

It certainly looks a stunning place! I'm far from religious and pretty lacking in any form of faith, but I do enjoy a good old church, monastery or similar simply due to their age and history.
