Unfortunately there is a lot in the US Constitution which is in serious need of either change or removal. Sadly enough however, there are those who are entrenched in the belief that the Constitution was a document etched in stone, never to be changed, regardless of the prevailing circumstances of the day, much like their belief that the "right to bear arms" would also give them the right to own and carry a portable nuclear weapon (if we had such a thing).
