Today Litecoin's value dropped under 40 EUR which is currently trying to climb back up. This should be taken as an example how volatile cryptocurrencies are and you shouldn't invest money into it that you can't afford to lose. It will be interesting on August the 1st to see how the Bitcoin fork (if it happens) affects Litecoin and other altcoins.
