Due to the fact that Christmas fell on a Sunday, we spent the majority of the day in church. There aren't really any special Christmas celebrations at home, but this year felt a little bit different. Before we left for church service my little sister, and I took some cool pictures.
Here's my younger sister. My photographic partner and the family's last child. We shot a lot of pictures together, and it had been a long time since we had selfies together! There's still more to see.
My sister and I decided to take some pictures with our father because he was nearby. Some people say I look like my father, but I think I look more like my mother. Unfortunately, I was unable to photograph her.
My little niece also wanted to join in the fun as well... She wanted to take a picture
I didn't take many pictures of what we bought at the grocery on our way home, but I did photograph my mother removing the feathers from the chicken we slaughtered. Oh, and we butchered four hens for Christmas. This means that there will be a lot of chicken to eat this Christmas and New Year's.
We are permitted to kill any animal we want to consume in Nigeria as long as we own it. I, for one, lack the fortitude to slaughter a chicken. I was irritated by seeing blood, and I still get irritated when I see my own blood. I avoided the area where the chicken was slaughtered since I couldn't eat the chicken if I was there.
Anyways, my Christmas holiday celebration proper would be happening on the 28th of December. It would be a get-together between
