MY THOUGHTS/PLANS FOR SPLINTERLANDS || NEED YOUR ADVICE
Before I begin I just want you guys to know that I am a total newbie on splinterlands who is just getting interest in knowing more about the game and most especially how to get the present on going airdrops.
After the last meetup I organized with a friend who I met on hive and is someone who is quite vast on Hive, I thought to myself that this is something I can do and what I only need is to give it my time and attention to understand the game.
But truth is, I have gotten some grasps of it and the tutorial really helped out in a long way. Since then, I have been thinking on how I can get involved with Splinterlands because I know I cannot be much of an active player due to the reason that I am still studying in the University; so I get pretty occupied with tests, exams and assignments.
For these reason, I felt it would not be bad if I can save some money from my post rewards and invest in the game. I can buy cards, buy packs or better; save some money for the general sale of packs on Jan 17 and buy some amount of packs and keep, or better rent out some of the cards I would get from those packs I buy.
I got to know that a pack would cost about $4 and during the general sale, one would not need to have a voucher to get these cards. That is really awesome because I heard that these vouchers cost about $4 dollars each and if one should buy it now, they would spend about $8 per pack. !damn
So I would probably wait still Jan 17 to buy some packs; if you would ask me how much packs would I buy. I seriously don't know but I am thinking of saving to buy about $200 worth. From my calculations, that would be about 50 packs; I am not sure how many cards one can find in a pack but I think @lemeonna mentioned 5 or so. I can't recall.
About the ongoing Splinterland airdrops, I didn't want to lose out on it so I decided to buy $15 worth of SPS and get them staked. I would definitely be buying more, maybe set a plan to be buying about $20 worth of SPS every week to stake.
Below is the screenshot of my transaction buying SPS
From the image above, you can see my transaction with @token-converter after I traded 15 HBD for 9.2 Hive.
After getting the SPS in my Splinterlands account, I went straight to stake them. looking at the APR, it is quite low compared to how it was before but to me, it is still good.
So I being new to Splinterlands, what do you think I need to know and what would you advice me on, or do you think I am on the right path? I need your replies. Thank you
