When compared against competitors such as OpenOcean, Slingshot, Wardenswap, Alium Finance, and Odos Finance, 1inch averaged the best priced exchange rates across major and minor token pairings. In terms of cost efficiency, Slingshot often had similar and occasionally better, or worse, exchange rates (generally a < 0.2% difference).
Thanks to 1inch's Fusion protocol which enables gasless trading and front-running prevention, we found cost efficiency for 1inch to be the best of its kind most often when compared to known competitors.
Gas and front-running fees are not typically included in the token conversion rate presented by an exchange. These two hidden fees often eat up a signficant portion of the actual cost to trade.
